Assistant Management Accountant

£28k - £30k, Colchester

UK based Insurance business part of a General Insurer seeks to attract an Assistant Management Accountant to their growing Finance team.


What you will be doing:

The delivery of the Syndicate Trial Balance including completion of all technical and annual accounting journals and reconciliations but you will also be responsible for the delivery of the Service Company Trial Balance.

Expense Reporting and the creation of the Expense Scorecard with analysis and completion of annual expense budget and quarterly forecasts.

Assist in migration of the current Underwriting reporting environment and provide more robust Management Information systems and an analytical environment.

The successful candidate:

Ideally you will be Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA (or AAT qualified or equivalent), you should have good Financial and Management accounting experience ideally from within Financial Services or a Corporate environment within Industry will be considered.

You should have excellent Excel skills and be able to work under own initiative to meet tight deadlines, all combined with with good communication skills.

Personal Pension Plan Administrator

£16k - £20k, Ipswich

Duties to include:

Providing support in all aspects of pension administration
Respond to pension related queries
Maintain internet banking system when necessary
Transfer in and out of Pension accounts
Agreeing, checking, collecting and distributing tax reclaims for all SIPP's
Liaising with financial departments
Creation and maintenance of data for all new and existing clients.

Applicants will have experience in SIPP administration, be able to work as part of a team and have excellent communication skills.

Job Description

You will be assisting financial planning fee earners in advising clients. You will draft reports and letters providing advice to clients in accordance with the Firm’s procedures, assist with technical queries and research best advice and obtain quotations and product literature.

You should be familiar with the Best Advice Panel and the procedures for off-panel recommendations and be expected to provide clients and team members with a level of service that meets or exceeds expectations.


Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have previous data research and report writing experience and will hold full FPC and G60. Also an enthusiastic and energetic approach with a can do attitude towards the role.

They are now looking to recruit a Paraplanner within the Ipswich office to join the small team of fee based financial planners working with High Net Worth clients. You will be dealing with Employee Benefits, renewals, producing and checking suitability letters.


Person Specification

Ideally you will have full Certificate in Financial Planning (or equivalent), a solid track record within a similar role and a knowledge of Employee Benefits is desirable although not essential as training can be provided
