ApplyTechnical Claims Negotiator

You will handle and manage your own caseload of high value, technical claims with an emphasis on proactive management of large losses.

You will communicate directly with the Insured and Intermediary, manage the relationship with policyholders, assessing the size of the claim, its potential severity and dealing with them in a proactive manner.

Key responsibilities
• Managing a mixed caseload of high net worth and commercial property, subsidence, liability and motor claims.
• Deal with telephone calls from policyholders, brokers, loss adjusters and other experts.
• To negotiate and settle claims fairly and promptly.
• Ability to work unsupervised and show initiative in their claims handling approach.
• Building a relationship and gaining broker confidence when handling large losses.
• 100% customer and indemnity focused.


Key requirements

• Solid experience handling high net worth and/or commercial property claims.
• Must be able to work unsupervised and handle claims in a proactive yet highly customer focused manner.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills both face to face and by telephone.
• Must have good organisational skills, the ability to work in a methodical manner and meet deadlines.
• Progression towards relevant professional qualifications would be advantageous.
