Personal Injury Claims Controller

£28k - £33k, Chelmsford

A successful and expanding Group are looking to recruit another additional member of their PI Claims team.

General Description

1. Pro-actively seek to establish liability and indemnity on all claims being handled by them in their portfolio.

2.Effectively prioritise case load.

3.Manage all claims competently to ensure that they are properly reserved & settled at optimum cost.

4. Act as a technical referral point in order to provide excellent claims handling service.

5. Develop / maintain in depth knowledge of legal & regulatory matters essential to handling personal injury claims.

6. Act as a technical referral and/or mentoring point with the view to developing fellow members of staff.

7. Identify, prepare & deliver training required that meets the needs of individual members of the Team.


Essential Requirements

1. Previous experience of handling motor claims involving personal injury & associated losses

2. Proven interpersonal skills (confident liaising with internal / external parties at all levels on a range of issues)

3. Effective communication skills, written and verbal, demonstrated by experience liaising with internal / external parties at all levels

4. Ability to organise workload, under pressure, whilst meeting tight deadlines

5. Ability to work on own initiative
