Claims Handlers
£15k - £17k, Norwich
Dealing with all classes including motor, property and non injury liability, you will have the chance to handle some of the most varied and interesting claims received in the Department. A strong development programme will be provided to enable you to fulfill your potential within this role.
Duties and responsibilities will include the following:-
• Making decisions on policy and legal liability for all types of claims
• Opening new claims, assessing initial estimates and taking appropriate action to negotiate and settle
• Dealing effectively and in a customer friendly way with litigation and fraud cases
• Handling complaints and breaches and ensuring compliance.
• Deputising for senior colleagues.
• Carrying out training and development as necessary.
• Project work, as requested
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:-
• Experience of handling claims.
• First class written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to analyse, evaluate and make logical decisions.
• A commitment to customer care.
• Good organisational skills
