An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Claims Handler within our Clients Technical Claims department.
This position will be the most senior referral point for all technical work within the department. The successful candidate will provide training and coaching and have responsibility for managing the most complex cases within the department.
Job Specification
Be the final referral and escalation point for staff within the department
Liaise with Head Office on complex cases as appropriate
Provide technical training, coaching and mentoring of staff
Provide technical input and sign off for referred complaints
Co-ordinate quality audits and influence quality control standards
Maintain and develop positive working relationships and provide technical support and assistance to all internal colleagues
Personal Specification
Experience of handling complex Claims cases according to technical policy
Ability to demonstrate and apply a high level of technical claims knowledge
Experience of developing and maintaining key working relationships
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to train, coach and develop staff
Proven negotiation and decision-making skills
