This role is for an individual to develop prospects and achieve new business success within specific trade sectors.
Also to continue to build the database of prospects, establish relationships with leads, arrange for quotation opportunities and secure business.
The company has a strong emphasis on high quality standards and proactive marketing. Prospects can have large and complex insurance exposures and have sophisticated needs, particularly as some sell insurance on to their customers.
This role is in a strategically important area for the company. The successful candidate will benefit from the company having strong relationships with insurers and we already have a warm prospect base of 100`s of companies.
The company will allocate a marketing budget eg trade association membership, advertising, sponsorship, conferences, e-marketing etc to aid in achieving new business success.
Also you will assist:
• Developing their marketing and on-line presence
• Liaising with relevant trade associations
• Understanding what specialist competitors offer in the sectors
• Devising insurance and risk management solutions appropriate to the sectors
• Liaising with insurers and broking colleagues to establish market support
• Exhibiting at conferences and trade association events
Skills & Experience
• Experience of working in a new business environment and working to targets
• Excellent personal organisation and administration
• Commercial insurance experience/knowledge
• Superb communication, presentation and negotiating skills
• Effective working as a self-starter and cooperatively with team members.
To be successful in this role the successful candidate will need to learn about the needs of these particular client types. Training and support to achieve this will be provided.
