Compliance Officer
£35,000 - £40,000, Cambrdige
Due to expansion a growing Regional Brokerage is looking to recruit a Compliance Officer.
They are looking for an experienced Compliance professional to provide an in-house compliance service to support the General Insurance business to comply with relevant laws, regulations and internal procedures.
Your main responsibilities will be:
• Providing managers with guidance in the development, implementation and maintenance of robust policies, practices and procedures to comply with FSA Rules & Principles.
• Creating programmes of activities that educate and encourage managers and staff to operate in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Implementing and maintaining a compliance monitoring programme that provides management with reasonable assurance that key regulatory risks are being adequately managed
• Providing regular and accurate reports to management, the Audit Committee and, where necessary, the Board, on regulatory and compliance matters
• Assisting senior management with maintaining good relationships with the FSA
The following skills and competencies are required:
• an understanding of the following regulated areas: FSA, Money Laundering, Data Protection, Consumer Credit Act, Client Money
• the ability to advise and respond on a broad range of matters, including:
corporate governance structure, products and services provided, registrations with the FSA, client documentation and fee schedules, systems in place to service the business, recent audit and regulatory reports
• excellent communication skills
• strong analytical and investigative skills
