Business Manager

Our Client a major player in their chosen markets, are looking to recruit an experienced Business Manager to proactively manage, lead and coach Team Leaders and their teams to achieve Service Level Agreements and client satisfaction. Also to identify and drive best practice and new initiatives to meet business goals.
Main Responsibilities
• Lead operational activity of the department, managing and prioritising departmental workloads to meet deadlines and targets and maintain quality of service to its clients.
• Forecast, analyse and take action to improve department’s productivity and achievement of KPI’s.
• Comply with internal and external management reporting requirements, ensuring appropriate production.
• Design, evaluate and implement business strategy whilst managing the impact and delivery of change.
• Build and maintain a positive and supportive environment within department that encourages staff motivation and effectiveness.
• Understand and ensure adherence to corporate Human Resources policies, instigating and developing solutions for managing high absence levels, recruitment, disciplinary issues and under-achievement to a successful conclusion, liaising with HR where appropriate.
• Adopt and promote a Treating Customers Fairly approach within all aspects of day to day work and develop a departmental culture reflecting TCF principles.
• Seek, identify and facilitate implementation of improvements to working practices where required.
• Manage the ongoing personal development, competency and performance of all direct reports.
• Provide training, coaching, guidance and assistance to colleagues as required.
Experience, qualifications and skills
• Proven management and leadership skills and experience
• Ability to initiate and manage change.
• Proven experience of effective resource and cost management
• Advanced communication skills including influencing, negotiation and problem solving skills
• Working knowledge of insurance industry
