Senior Claims Technician

£27,000 - £35,000, Norwich

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Claims Technician to join our expanding Client.

You will be the most senior technical referral point for all claims within the Department. The successful candidate will provide training and coaching for team members and have responsibility for managing the most complex cases.


Duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Act as a final referral and escalation point.
- Hold the highest level of authority and handle own caseload as appropriate
- Liaise with Head Office Claims on cases that exceed personal/regional authority levels
- Facilitate and implement technical training, coaching and mentoring of staff
- Provide technical input and sign off for referred complaints
- Co-ordinate quality audits and influence quality control standards
- Driving a high performance culture within the team



The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate:
- Experience of handling complex cases according to technical policy
- Ability to demonstrate and apply a high level of technical knowledge
- Well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to train, coach and develop staff
- Proven negotiation and decision-making skills with emphasis on customer focus

Applicants must be qualified to the Advanced Diploma in Insurance.
