Household Claims Handlers

£14,000 - £17,500, Ipswich

A major Insurer is looking to recruit quality Insurance candidates to handle Household Claims from notification through to settlement.

While Claims experience would be beneficial, a background in Insurance and strong Customer Service skills are required.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

•negotiating and settling claims within your delegated authority
•delivering a fast, effective and technically accurate response to customers after notification of a new claim or seeking advice on their claim
•managing the customer experience throughout the claim, resulting in a technically correct claims settlement and a high level of customer satisfaction
•dealing with correspondence and other paperwork effectively, communicating with Customers, keeping them up to date on progress and ensuring next stages are understood
•handling customer enquiries quickly and efficiently, treating the customer fairly and as an individual within agreed Service Level Agreements and timescales.


Successful applicants will demonstrate the following:
•good understanding of the principles of insurance
•knowledge of claims philosophy, procedures and best practices
•good negotiation skills
•ability to communicate effectively to customers
•awareness of customer expectations and requirements
