Underwriting Team Manager
£35,000 - £37,000, Colchester
This is a rare and exciting Management opportunity within an industry leader.
You will lead, manage and develop the team to optimise relationships with a panel of Brokers to achieve business and renewal targets.
Main Responsibilities include:
• Create and motivate to maintain a dynamic, pro-active, trading culture within the team to deliver and exceed New Business and Renewal Targets.
• Instilling a high performance culture and developing people through an effective performance management process.
• Drive audit and compliance standards ensuring quality and business best practise is fulfilled.
• Monitoring and control of internal audit process working closely with Underwriting Manager.
• Complete regular face to face meetings with customers to discuss service and customer account statistics, including growth and profitability.
• Identify and agree areas of opportunity for continued positive trends in this area and account performance against annual business plan.
• Ensuring that all work within the branch is completed in line with best practice and adhering to all legal and FSA requirements.
• Assisting with New Business and policy Retention initiatives and identifying customers with growth and relationship opportunities.
Person Specification
To be successful in this role you will need to be an experienced Underwriter with good market knowledge and a proven ability to lead and develop initiatives, teams and relationships.
