Operations Manager
£45,000 - £50,000, Ipswich
A major Insurance Client is seeking a talented Manager to be responsible for the operational management and motivation of the Claims Unit, including resource planning, workflow control and productivity.
Also to work closely and build effective relationships with a wide range of Clients to ensure that their requirements are fully understood and met to their satisfaction.
Key duties will include:
• Leading the delivery of first class service by a well resourced and motivated team of professionals.
• Proactively manage operational service delivery across a range of teams to achieve agreed contractual service levels within budget
• Acting as the primary point of contact for a range of Clients and proactively communicating service performance levels to agreed standards and schedules
• Shaping the processes, procedures and practices of the Unit
• Developing and implementing strategies designed for the achievement of excellent customer service to ensure that service level targets are achieved
• Creation of a focused culture of continual improvement to provide a rewarding environment in which people develop and empowered to contribute to achieving KPI and business goals
• Liaising with other departments and external clients to ensure customer satisfaction and improvement of processes and procedures
Person Specification
• Proven people leading experience, preferably within a Claims environment
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to adapt to a changing environment
• Able to plan ahead and be aware of changing and conflicting priorities
