As Account Underwriter your main responsibilities will include:

  • Analysis of the book to identify opportunities for growth in profitable areas
  • Identify and suggest corrective action for poorer performing parts of the account
  • Review of the product and competitor analysis to boost the position within the market
  • Play an active role in the investigation, analysis and proposals relating to new Products
  • Working with the audit team to assist with queries and working with Broker partners to ensure smooth and timely implementation of any required action plan
  • Act as a referral point for the Underwriting Team and maintaining Underwriting licences
  • Issuing and monitoring of Broker Trading agreements

To be a successful Account Underwriter you will demonstrate:

  • Strong experience of Home Underwriting with extensive Product knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strongly numerate and analytical with a Trading mentality.
  • Enthusiastic, self motivated with the ability to use your initiative.
  • Ability to switch priorities readily and identifying alternative solutions.
