Working closely with the Management Accountant you will be assisting the Finance team with general day to day running of the function.

This small and busy team plays an important role in the successful and profitable running of the Company and you will be encouraged to play a full part in that and as your experience and qualifications grow, to become more involved.

Main Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant role include:

  • Processing expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports.
  • Recording entries in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accounts payable ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
  • Pay employees by receiving and verifying expense reports.
  • Disburse petty cash by recording entry; verifying documentation.
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Review bank balances and interprets reports and makes corrections.
  • Prepare and maintain audit work papers and account analysis on an ongoing basis.
  • Help prepare financial reports and spreadsheets as requested.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding entered data.

Knowledge & Experience required to be a successful Accounts Assistant include:

  • Accounts Payable and Bank Reconciliation experience.
  • Studying for Accountancy qualifications is preferable - full support will be provided.
  • Confident and driven with an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good people skills with the ability to engage with different departments.
