Risk Management Adviser

You will visit corporate clients across Cambridge, Norfolk and Suffolk meeting face to face with senior personnel and undertake inspections and surveys of client premises, evaluate risks, make and agree risk improvements and prepare reports – in order to reduce the potential for risk within the business.

Although some Brokers have a Risk Management offering, few embrace Risk Management with real commitment but this Broker recognises that offering its clients a bespoke Risk Management and Health & Safety programme is a crucial, value added service.

You will visit corporate clients across Cambridge, Norfolk and Suffolk meeting face to face with senior personnel and undertake inspections and surveys of client premises, evaluate risks, make and agree risk improvements and prepare reports - in order to reduce the potential for risk within the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing an independent risk assessment for commercial clients, in order to identify potential problems and take steps to minimise their impact
  • Accompanying Account Executives on site visits at renewal and new business meetings
  • Act as liaison between client and Insurance Companies
  • Undertake site audits and surveys, producing reports on risks and control measures
  • Collating and assessing risk information on site, of the property to be insured
  • Advising clients on reducing the level of risk, or persuading them of the need for risk improvement programmes
  • Developing relationships with customers and following up on advice given within the risk management report
  • Keeping up to date with technical aspects affecting risks, e.g. trade processes, legislation, hazardous materials
  • Undertaking health and safety management and guidance within the Group

Candidates must hold the following attributes

  • Risk management qualifications, ideally progressing to Diploma level NEBOSH
  • Risk Management experience gained within a Broking, Insurer or industry environment
  • Provide leadership on technical matters and contribute on business issues
