A major local Employer is looking to recruit another talented Manager to be responsible for a Commercial Insurance team.

The team delivers technical excellence to its Clients and includes experienced professionals and also more junior people who will need mentoring and developing.

As well as your people management and operational responsibilities you will also be involved in relationship management for key Clients.

Also there are a number of new initiatives so you will be involved in a range of exciting projects as well which will enable you to contribute widely across the Business.

Therefore you will have an Insurance background but key will be your people management experience and the operational management successes you can demonstrate.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the team, managing all people aspects to achieve excellence.
  • Managing and monitoring operational performance against SLA's.
  • Responsibility for delivery of first class service to Clients.
  • Identify and support development opportunities for the team.
  • Full budgetary responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with Clients and suppliers.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships, internally and externally.
  • Ensure that objectives and goals are effectively communicated and that team and individual assessments are regularly completed.
  • Ensure that quality and compliance procedures and processes are adhered to meet internal and external regulations.
  • Supporting and continual process improvement.
  • Ensure consistent processes are implemented while ensuring all training and mentoring is effective.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Insurance understanding, ideally of Commercial classes
  • Excellent people leadership experience
  • Success at delivering results and meeting KPI's
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • First class communication skills both oral and written
